2018 Hula O Na Keiki Ad features Aubrey Hord Photography and portraits of the winners from the 2017 keiki hula competition at Kaanapali Beach Hotel. It’s always a honor to see your work for long-time commercial clients in print. Hula o na Keiki is such a wonderful annual celebration of hula on Maui. I am blessed to be invited to make portraits of the winners the morning after their win.

Continuing the tradition set by one of my photography mentors, Randy Jay Braun, the portraits are made in early morning light and the final featured portraits are toned to have a more vintage look.  The walls of the hotel lobby are filled with framed Koa portraits of the Hula o Na Keiki winners over the past 28 years at Kaanapali Beach Hotel.
